SAITL is happy to provide our technical expertise and experience and work with you on a consulation basis for any project you have which is applicable to our line of work (i.e. tesitng regimes, testing methods, RFID etc).

Miscellaneous Supplies

SAITL is able to provide Barcode Labels and Vials in various colours to customers who do testing with us.  Please contact us if you have a requirement for either of these.

Bactoscan Calibration Samples

SAITL produces and sells, control freeze dried samples for use with the Foss BACTOSCAN™. Presently samples are produced for FOSS in Denmark, for use in the daily calibration check for the BACTOSCAN 8000. The samples can, and are, used for the BACTOSCAN FC equipment as well.

The SAITL Bactoscan Control Sample mimic milk samples and are stable for over 2 years. This enables the laboratory to monitor drift or other problems that might occur with the Bactoscan. Because the samples are a milk substitute they do not face the same limitation as pure bacterial culture as a mean of monitoring detection.

Milk Calibration Samples

We can provide milk calibration sets for instrument calibration or reference testing on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Calibration sets are available in two different sizes, either 35ml or 120ml. A typical set consists of 24 samples as follows: 4 x skim milk (approx <0.1% fat), 4 x 2% fat, 4 x 3% fat, 4 x 4% fat, 4 x 6% fat, 4 x reference (typcially ranges between 4-6% fat). We can also provide a cream reference sample (typically ranges between 35-45% fat).

Sample sets are dispatched to customers on a Tuesday evening. A report containing the reference results for fat, protein, lactose and total solids is isued to custmers Thursday afternoon. Casein protein is also available upon request.
